Paralegal

Responsibilities

• Handle and maintain legal cases from initial client contact to conclusion
• Collect and compile key information for various legal matters
• Maintain organized and up-to-date files, records, and legal documents
• Assist attorneys with drafting and preparing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents
• Contact clients, agencies, and outside parties to gather necessary documentation
• Manage attorney calendars, monitor deadlines, and ensure timely follow-up on all tasks

Requirements

• 3-5 years of legal experience, specifically in probate, estate planning, and real estate law
• Knowledge of Nebraska and Iowa law and probate court procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong ability to edit, proofread, and type accurately from draft or dictation
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
