Paralegal – Asset Finance

Responsibilities

• Provide legal and administrative support for the Transportation & Space Group, focusing on aircraft, ship, satellite, and other asset financing and leasing transactions.
• Assist lawyers in all phases of transactions, including drafting and managing finance, security, and leasing documents.
• Conduct legal and title due diligence, manage virtual data rooms, and prepare diligence reports and checklists.
• Coordinate registrations and filings with Companies House, asset registries, and the International Registry.
• Prepare and maintain conditions precedent, closing checklists, and transaction bibles.
• Support transaction closings by preparing signature packets, managing DocuSign execution, and assembling closing binders.
• Track and manage post-closing deliverables and deadlines.
• Liaise with clients, lenders, lessors, counterparties, and external advisers.
• Conduct legal and company research and assist with the preparation of business development materials.
• Support the expansion of responsible use of AI tools on transactional matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including willingness to work additional hours as transaction demands require.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant within asset finance, banking, or finance law.
• Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., iManage), virtual data room platforms, or AI tools like Claude.
