About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight and leadership for program implementation and child wellbeing outcomes within the Papua cluster.
  • Ensure program and project implementation aligns with organizational policies, technical standards, and donor compliance.
  • Develop and monitor annual cluster funding plans and contribute to strategic planning and review processes.
  • Build and maintain robust networks with government agencies, NGOs, UN institutions, and faith-based organizations.
  • Manage operational risks, ensuring zero tolerance for fraud and strict adherence to safeguarding policies.
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams, providing coaching, capacity building, and performance management.
  • Conduct regular field monitoring to ensure high-quality implementation of area programs and projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Management, Development Studies, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in development program management at a managerial level.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience working specifically in Papua.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead multi-cultural teams effectively.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) with a minimum TOEFL score of 450.
  • Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and analytical thinking skills.
  • Willingness to spend at least 33% of working time in the field visiting project sites.
