Palletizer Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate control panels for automatic palletizing equipment to sort, transfer, and stack finished product cases.
• Read packaging specifications to ensure correct pallet type and arrangement of cases.
• Monitor conveyors to identify defective cases, slip sheets, or pallets.
• Control stacking arrangements and transfer loaded pallets to delivery platforms using selector switches.
• Supply loading equipment with necessary empty pallets and slip sheets.
• Clear equipment jams by stopping and restarting machinery.
• Inform supervisors immediately of any equipment malfunctions.
• Operate automatic bagger equipment, including threading bags and managing the startup process.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Mechanical inclination and solution-oriented mindset.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to read electronic screens.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, bend, or reach for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills to interact with people at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work in areas with fluctuating temperatures.
• Flexibility to work other shifts and overtime as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Experience working with conveyors or PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers).
• Experience with lift operation using clamp and fork attachments.
