About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled painting work including surface preparation such as scraping, power washing, sandblasting, and minor caulking or plastering
- Apply paint, stains, vinyl and paper wall coverings, epoxy coatings, and other protective or decorative coatings to interior and exterior structures
- Utilize various application methods including brush, roller, and airless spray techniques
- Maintain and prepare materials by matching and mixing paints and stains
- Prepare estimates and produce inspection reports as required
- Ensure workplace safety by following established safe work practices
- Provide training and monitor the work of apprentices or labourers when assigned
- Perform minor glass repairs and assist glaziers as needed

Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyperson Painter certification
- Valid BC Driver's Licence
- Minimum 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in airless spray techniques and surface preparation
