Painter

Responsibilities

• Prepare, coat, and finish metal and other surfaces using conventional and airless spray equipment
• Mix and apply various paint systems including alkyds, epoxies, gel coats, urethane, and waterborne systems
• Adjust spray gun nozzles and monitor paint flow, viscosity, and pressure using mill gauges
• Perform preventative maintenance by cleaning paint lines, guns, and other apparatus
• Regulate temperature and air circulation in drying ovens
• Apply interior primer coats and perform sealing/baking of final exterior coatings
• Maintain all required paperwork and follow all safety rules and practices

Requirements

• 1-2 years of industrial painting experience
• Proficiency in spray and hand-held application of exterior coatings
• Proficiency in sealing and baking final exterior coatings
• Ability to follow verbal or simple written instructions and procedures
