Painter

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, and priming to ensure proper adhesion
• Apply paints, coatings, and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
• Apply industrial coatings such as epoxy floor systems and corrosion-resistant finishes to protect infrastructure and equipment
• Perform minor drywall, plaster, and surface repairs as needed to support painting activities
• Mask and protect surrounding areas to prevent damage during painting operations
• Operate and maintain painting tools and equipment, including spray systems, lifts, and scaffolding
• Maintain inventory of paints, coatings, and supplies and coordinate material needs
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures, including the proper handling of hazardous materials

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3–5 years of professional or industrial painting experience
• Experience with surface preparation and the application of various coatings and finishes
• Knowledge of OSHA safety practices and proper handling of paints and chemicals
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or facility maintenance environments
• Familiarity with corrosion control and protective coating systems
• Basic knowledge of drywall and minor surface repair techniques
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
