Painter

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure proper paint adhesion
• Apply industrial coatings using spray equipment, rollers, or brushes with high precision
• Mix and match paints to achieve exact color specifications and uniformity
• Maintain painting tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines regarding ventilation and hazardous materials
• Inspect finished work to ensure adherence to quality standards and report defects
• Manage inventory of paint supplies and request replenishments as needed
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely project completion

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2+ years of industrial painting experience
• Proficiency in reading and writing English
• Strong knowledge of finish painting, sanding, masking, and equipment maintenance
• Ability to use and comprehend specifications, blueprints, and schematics
• Proficiency with MS Office, ERP Systems, and Jira
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and safe working practices in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to use gauges and measuring devices
