Painter 1

Responsibilities

• Follow directions and priorities provided by the Department Lead, Supervisor, or Support Manager
• Prepare parts on correct racks and manage the paint line capacity plan
• Perform color changes in a timely manner
• Inspect parts coming off the paint line to ensure they meet quality standards
• Operate the paint room efficiently, including rebuilding paint guns and pumps
• Maintain spare part inventory and powder inventory through cycle counts
• Use personal protective equipment and adhere to all company safety policies
• Maintain and improve department 5S organization and cleanliness

Requirements

• Knowledge of paint line processes
• Experience working in a paint booth
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Willingness to meet and exceed production requirements
• Ability to handle change

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior powder coating experience
