Paint/Body Worker

Responsibilities

• Finish cabs and parts to quality standards through repair, sanding, and metal finishing prior to painting
• Perform pre-sanding, body filler application, roll prime, and metal finishing as needed
• Use various hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools to complete tasks
• Read and follow detailed operator instructions and maintain a clean, safe work area
• Self-check work and inspect prior processes to ensure high-quality results
• Meet production goals and participate in lean events and 5S initiatives
• Communicate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues

Requirements

• 3 years of professional body shop experience
• Strong knowledge of metal finishing techniques
• Working knowledge of applying fillers, including polyester fillers, putties, and primers
• Ability to tolerate high heat, dust, and chemical exposure
• Ability to wear air or form-fitting respirators for extended periods
• Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and off ground-level as needed
• Basic computer skills
