Paint Technician

Responsibilities

• Apply quality finishes to transformers using paints, lacquers, enamels, and water-based products
• Assist in surface preparation including sanding and application of bondo and primer
• Use various paint applicators such as brushes, rollers, Air-Assisted Airless, and HVLP Guns
• Assemble, clean, and maintain paint equipment, including pressure washers and paint booths
• Maintain environmental records including paint usage logs and hazardous waste disposal records
• Wear proper PPE, including positive pressure hoods, during operation
• Perform paint touch-ups as required

Requirements

• Ability to work in a heavy-equipment environment
• Ability to follow written instructions and use basic hand tools
• Comfortable with online documentation and web-based software
• Strong communication skills (in-person, phone, and email)
• Ability to meet physical requirements for a shop environment
