Paint Technician I

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare vehicle surfaces for paint application, including repairing dents and scratches
• Perform manual paint spraying and assemble/install parts using hand, air, or power tools
• Maintain and clean painting equipment using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths
• Conduct routine inspections on products, processes, and materials to ensure quality specifications are met
• Follow all written and verbal work instructions and standard operating procedures with an emphasis on safety
• Perform material handling tasks, including loading/unloading trailers and scanning inventory
• Maintain a clean and safe work area according to housekeeping standards

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the US on an unrestricted basis
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, squat, or crawl for up to 10 hours per shift
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull between 15-45 pounds
• Ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of color
• Willingness to wear a respirator and comply with all OSHA respiratory requirements
• Flexibility to work overtime, including same-day requests and weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of manufacturing or automotive painting experience
• Ability to learn new processes quickly
• Positive and team-focused attitude
