Paint Technician, Automotive

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and assistance to customers regarding product line usage
• Support relationships with manufacturing and engineering teams at customer sites
• Troubleshoot and resolve painting issues related to product, application, and inventory
• Gather and analyze data including viscosity, temperature, and appearance using Wave Scan and film build devices
• Manage daily paint consumption, invoices, inventory, and product ordering
• Assist with customer demand forecasting and support special test requests
• Maintain regular communication regarding daily projects and line issues
• Support monthly plant quality reports and make recommendations for specification ranges

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years of paint application and/or manufacturing experience
• Working knowledge of paint technologies
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to travel up to 15% for training and coverage

Preferred Qualifications

• College degree in an Engineering or Technical field
• Experience within the Automotive Coatings industry
• Hands-on experience with automotive painting equipment
• Strong understanding of technical lab and research principles
