Paint Technician A

Responsibilities

• Prepare airframe surfaces and components for painting, including repairs, sanding, taping, and surface preparation
• Perform initial inspections of parts to identify and note defects prior to the painting process
• Execute stripe layouts and masking according to customer specifications and part drawings
• Apply paint to metal and composite/fiberglass components using standard and specialized hand tools and power equipment
• Ensure all completed work complies with FAA regulations, company specifications, and customer requirements
• Maintain a clean working environment and follow all OSHA, safety, and environmental regulations
• Support and train other employees by sharing technical knowledge and skills

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in painting and paint preparation on metal and composite/fiberglass components
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and Bills of Material (BOM) to ensure proper coating application
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to work onsite and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30lbs and standing for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of Trade School
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience specifically with aircraft components
