Paint Robot Programming & Simulation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create and validate paint application simulations using robotic simulation software
• Conduct trials and process optimization using painting robots at the Savli laboratory
• Prepare robot paths, process parameters, and application logic for various paint systems
• Analyze transfer efficiency, film build, paint quality, and process performance during trials
• Coordinate with customer production, maintenance, and automation teams during implementation
• Support new product development and process validation activities
• Generate technical reports, process documentation, and trial reports
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures during robot operations
• Travel extensively to customer locations across India for project execution and technical support

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Automation, or Robotics Engineering
• 3–8 years of experience in robotic paint application, paint shop automation, or robot programming
• Strong knowledge of robotic painting systems and paint application processes
• Hands-on experience in robot programming for painting applications
• Experience with robotic simulation software and offline programming
• Willingness to travel extensively to customer production plants across India

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ABB RobotStudio, FANUC PaintPRO/ROBOGUIDE, Dürr simulation systems, or Kawasaki robotics software
• Knowledge of automotive paint shop processes including Primer, Basecoat, Clearcoat, and Sealer applications
• Understanding of paint atomizers, bell applicators, and spray guns
• Familiarity with PLC/automation interfaces and industrial communication systems
• Background in Automotive OEM Paint Shops, Tier-1 Suppliers, or Industrial Automation companies
