About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead paint development activities to achieve required quality levels and OEM specifications at committed costs
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including plant production, paint setting, laboratory, suppliers, and customers
  • Ensure paint process stability regarding quality, repeatability, and consistency
  • Manage technical relationships with raw material suppliers and validate new paint products
  • Drive jig development from CAD design through on-site validation and prototype phases
  • Lead paint trials, evaluate painted parts, and define necessary adjustments for robust performance
  • Validate paint ranges, application parameters, and customer specifications for mechanical and appearance requirements
  • Participate in run@rate events and support PPAP activities, including customer buy-offs
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and support productivity initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in paint, coatings, chemistry, or process engineering within the automotive industry
  • Strong knowledge of liquid paint application processes for Class A automotive surfaces
  • Experience in cross-functional project leadership or project organization
  • Ability to measure and evaluate color, surface structure, and paint defects
  • Proficiency in English
  • Strong ownership mindset and analytical capabilities
