Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Independently manage and prioritize a clinical caseload of children and young people
• Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for children with eating and drinking difficulties
• Support and train families and school staff to implement relevant programs
• Assess, diagnose, and treat children with complex communication needs, including AAC users
• Deliver training to ensure effective execution of Speech and Language Therapy communication programs

Requirements

• Professional qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
• Experience managing complex caseloads within a special school setting
• Proficiency in the use of AAC devices
• Ability to provide effective training to caregivers and educational staff
