Paediatric Preschool Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Manage a generic caseload of children and young people within mainstream schools in the community
• Conduct assessments and create tailored therapy plans
• Provide direct intervention for children with speech, language, and communication needs
• Work closely with school staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure appropriate support
• Provide advice and training to school staff
• Contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to development

Requirements

• HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
• Proven experience working with paediatric caseloads in mainstream schools
• Experience working in the community and delivering therapy in a variety of settings
• Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
• Enhanced DBS check required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
