About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments using standardised and informal tools
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans to support functional skills, self-care, and school-based activities
- Deliver 1:1 and group therapy sessions within the school environment
- Provide advice, training, and strategies to staff and caregivers to embed therapeutic approaches
- Contribute to EHCP processes and multidisciplinary reviews
- Maintain accurate clinical records and reports
Requirements
- Diploma, BSc, or MSc in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Experience working with children and young people, ideally in an educational or paediatric setting
- Strong understanding of child development and therapeutic techniques
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
