Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist sensory integration assessments and interventions for pupils with sensory processing difficulties
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support functional skills, emotional regulation, and participation in learning
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families to embed sensory strategies into the school day
• Deliver training and advice to staff and parents to promote understanding and effective use of sensory approaches
• Contribute to the development of a whole-school sensory-friendly environment

Requirements

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Postgraduate qualification in Sensory Integration
• Experience working with children and young people with autism, learning disabilities, or complex needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for creating inclusive, supportive environments for pupils
