Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions within a specialist school setting
• Complete functional assessments and develop individualised therapy plans
• Provide sensory integration-based interventions
• Run group and one-to-one sessions to support fine motor, gross motor, and functional skills
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the wider multidisciplinary team to embed therapeutic strategies into daily routines
• Support students in developing independence and confidence in everyday activities

Requirements

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience working with children and young people with ASD
• Sensory Integration training desirable
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a supportive and therapeutic manner
