Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessments for disabled children focusing on bespoke equipment and major/minor adaptations
• Carry out safety assessments and holistic evaluations to determine appropriate moving and handling equipment
• Manage a caseload and complete monthly allocated cases
• Work closely with children’s services, health professionals, and hospital colleagues
• Deliver succinct, comprehensive reports and maintain accurate documentation using IT systems
• Travel city-wide to conduct home visits, including outside standard hours when necessary

Requirements

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with paediatric experience
• Skilled in the provision of specialist equipment and adaptations
• Strong communication, empathy, and case management skills
• Excellent IT proficiency and report writing ability
• Full driving licence and flexibility with working hours
• Knowledge of Manchester values and commitment to high-quality service delivery
