About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist assessments for disabled children focusing on bespoke equipment and major/minor adaptations
- Carry out safety assessments and holistic evaluations to determine appropriate moving and handling equipment
- Manage a caseload and complete monthly allocated cases
- Work closely with children’s services, health professionals, and hospital colleagues
- Deliver succinct, comprehensive reports and maintain accurate documentation using IT systems
- Travel city-wide to conduct home visits, including outside standard hours when necessary
Requirements
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with paediatric experience
- Skilled in the provision of specialist equipment and adaptations
- Strong communication, empathy, and case management skills
- Excellent IT proficiency and report writing ability
- Full driving licence and flexibility with working hours
- Knowledge of Manchester values and commitment to high-quality service delivery
