About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to infants, children, and young people
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in line with individual patient needs
- Monitor patients’ conditions and respond appropriately to changes
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with Trust policies
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, therapists, and support staff
- Communicate effectively with children and their families, offering reassurance, education, and emotional support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Adhere to all safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control policies
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC pin
- Paediatric nursing qualification (RN Child)
- Previous experience working within a paediatric setting
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child-focused care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments
- Commitment to continuous professional development
