Paediatric Nurse

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to infants, children, and young people
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in line with individual patient needs
• Monitor patients’ conditions and respond appropriately to changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with Trust policies
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, therapists, and support staff
• Communicate effectively with children and their families, offering reassurance, education, and emotional support
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Adhere to all safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control policies

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC pin
• Paediatric nursing qualification (RN Child)
• Previous experience working within a paediatric setting
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child-focused care
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments
• Commitment to continuous professional development
