Paediatric Neonates Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing difficulties within paediatric and neonatal caseloads
• Provide specialist dysphagia assessment and intervention for infants and children
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans tailored to patient needs
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, consultants, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards
• Support families and carers through education, advice, and therapeutic guidance

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registration and membership (or eligibility) with the RCSLT
• Previous experience in paediatric and/or neonatal settings
• Dysphagia competencies and experience managing feeding/swallowing disorders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
