About the role
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing difficulties within paediatric and neonatal caseloads
- Provide specialist dysphagia assessment and intervention for infants and children
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans tailored to patient needs
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, consultants, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists
- Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards
- Support families and carers through education, advice, and therapeutic guidance
Requirements
- Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registration and membership (or eligibility) with the RCSLT
- Previous experience in paediatric and/or neonatal settings
- Dysphagia competencies and experience managing feeding/swallowing disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
