About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage neonatal and paediatric dysphagia, including complex feeding and swallowing difficulties
  • Deliver specialist infant feeding and dysphagia assessments in neonatal and paediatric settings
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment and management plans in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide clinical advice, training, and support to colleagues and carers
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical records
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and service development initiatives

Requirements

  • Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Eligibility for RCSLT membership
  • Proven experience in paediatric neonatal dysphagia and/or infant feeding
  • Postgraduate training or qualifications in dysphagia assessment for neonates and infants
  • Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
