About the role
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage neonatal and paediatric dysphagia, including complex feeding and swallowing difficulties
- Deliver specialist infant feeding and dysphagia assessments in neonatal and paediatric settings
- Develop and implement individualised treatment and management plans in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide clinical advice, training, and support to colleagues and carers
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical records
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and service development initiatives
Requirements
- Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Eligibility for RCSLT membership
- Proven experience in paediatric neonatal dysphagia and/or infant feeding
- Postgraduate training or qualifications in dysphagia assessment for neonates and infants
- Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
