Paediatric Mainstream Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Deliver EHCP-specified Speech and Language Therapy provision to children in mainstream school settings
• Assess, plan, and implement individualised therapy programmes tailored to each child’s needs
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents/carers, and wider professionals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation
• Manage a varied caseload effectively, prioritising workload and meeting deadlines

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
• Experience working with children in mainstream school settings
• Strong understanding of EHCP processes and outcomes-focused provision
• Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills
• Ability to work autonomously
