Paediatric Mainstream Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and deliver individualised therapy for children with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN)
• Work collaboratively with teachers, school staff, and parents to implement effective interventions
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with professional standards
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and reviews as required
• Adapt therapy approaches to meet the needs of children in a mainstream school setting

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent)
• HCPC registration
• Eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
• Proven experience working with children in a mainstream educational setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible and proactive approach to managing a varied caseload
