Paediatric Dysphagia Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage children and young people with speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing difficulties
• Deliver specialist interventions for paediatric dysphagia and complex communication needs
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans tailored to each child’s needs
• Work collaboratively with families, carers, educational professionals, and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide advice, training, and support to parents, carers, and other professionals involved in the child's care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with professional and organisational standards
• Participate in case discussions, reviews, and multidisciplinary meetings to ensure high-quality patient care

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
• Previous experience in paediatric Speech and Language Therapy services
• Experience assessing and managing paediatric dysphagia cases
• Experience supporting children with complex communication needs
