Paediatric Community Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and deliver therapy for children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
• Work with children aged 5–16, including those with EHCPs
• Deliver therapy sessions in clinic settings and local schools
• Develop and implement individualised therapy plans
• Liaise with families, teaching staff, and other professionals
• Maintain accurate clinical records

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Eligibility for RCSLT membership
• Experience or strong interest in paediatric speech and language therapy
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with children with EHCPs
