About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage children with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) across a range of ages and settings
  • Deliver evidence-based, individualised and group interventions in community environments such as homes, schools, and clinics
  • Manage a varied caseload, prioritising clinical need effectively and independently
  • Work closely with families, carers, education staff, and multidisciplinary teams to support holistic care
  • Provide training and guidance to parents, carers, and school staff to support communication development
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards

Requirements

  • Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent)
  • HCPC registration and membership (or eligibility)
  • Membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
  • Experience working with paediatric caseloads in community settings
  • Strong clinical knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders in children
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
