About the role
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage children with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) across a range of ages and settings
- Deliver evidence-based, individualised and group interventions in community environments such as homes, schools, and clinics
- Manage a varied caseload, prioritising clinical need effectively and independently
- Work closely with families, carers, education staff, and multidisciplinary teams to support holistic care
- Provide training and guidance to parents, carers, and school staff to support communication development
- Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards
Requirements
- Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent)
- HCPC registration and membership (or eligibility)
- Membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
- Experience working with paediatric caseloads in community settings
- Strong clinical knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders in children
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
