About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage children with a variety of speech, language, and communication difficulties
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy programmes in clinic, pre-school, and school settings
  • Collaborate with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to support children’s communication development
  • Provide training, advice, and resources to parents, carers, and education staff
  • Maintain accurate, high-quality clinical records in line with HCPC and service standards
  • Contribute to service development and promote best practice in community paediatric speech and language therapy

Requirements

  • Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent)
  • HCPC registration
  • Eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
  • Proven experience in paediatric speech and language therapy within community, mainstream, and pre-school settings
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Access to a car and full UK driving licence
