About the role
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage children with a variety of speech, language, and communication difficulties
- Deliver evidence-based therapy programmes in clinic, pre-school, and school settings
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to support children’s communication development
- Provide training, advice, and resources to parents, carers, and education staff
- Maintain accurate, high-quality clinical records in line with HCPC and service standards
- Contribute to service development and promote best practice in community paediatric speech and language therapy
Requirements
- Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent)
- HCPC registration
- Eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
- Proven experience in paediatric speech and language therapy within community, mainstream, and pre-school settings
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Access to a car and full UK driving licence
