Paediatric Community Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and support children with speech, language, and communication needs within mainstream school settings
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions tailored to pupils’ needs
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support communication strategies in the classroom
• Provide advice, training, and support to school staff and parents/carers
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional standards
• Contribute to reviews and multi-disciplinary discussions

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registration and membership (or eligibility)
• Membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
• Experience working with paediatric caseloads, ideally in community or school settings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
