Paediatric Community Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Support children with SLCN in mainstream and special schools
• Act as a link therapist between schools, families, and clinical teams
• Conduct formal and informal assessments and deliver tailored therapy strategies
• Manage caseloads efficiently using strong negotiation and organisational skills
• Work within the Balanced System® framework
• Maintain accurate clinical records using EPR systems such as RIO
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support child development
• Travel across the city to various sites

Requirements

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Eligibility for RCSLT membership
• Experience with school-age children and SLCN
• Knowledge of the Balanced System® approach
• Full driving license and access to a vehicle
• Proficiency with IT systems and clinical record management
