PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities

• Deliver Phase I post-anesthesia recovery care, including airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, pain control, and nausea management
• Monitor high-acuity post-surgical patients requiring advanced assessment and invasive line management
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and recovery-related treatments following established protocols
• Utilize MHS GENESIS for real-time patient documentation and interdisciplinary communication
• Coordinate patient handoffs and collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and inpatient care teams to ensure safe transitions

Requirements

• Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license from any U.S. state or territory
• BSN degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• 2+ years of current Phase I PACU inpatient recovery experience or 1 year of critical care experience
• U.S. citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-anesthesia recovery training or coursework
• CPAN certification
• Experience within hospital-based perioperative services or complex surgical recovery environments
