Packet Core Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage and implement integration services for 5G networks
• Prepare High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD) for 5G NSA/SA Core Networks based on customer requirements
• Perform integration and ISSU upgrades of 5G SA Packet Core CNF
• Deploy CNF on various cloud solutions including NFVI, CNIS, and OpenShift
• Provide technical consultation and drive solutions at customer sites
• Collaborate with onshore teams to support modeling and data migration delivery
• Guide and mentor team members while providing technical support
• Handle configuration, provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network functions

Requirements

• Expertise in the design and integration of Packet Core Nodes (SGSN, MME, AMF, GGSN, EPG, SMF, PCC, PCG, PCRF, PCF, etc.)
• Deep knowledge of 4G and 5G call flows (VoLTE, EPS fallback, VoNR, VoWiFi, IoT)
• Strong understanding of 5G Network Functions including AMF, SMF, UPF, PCF, and NRF
• Experience with Cloud environments (NFVI, CNIS) and deploying EPC/5G SA solutions over the cloud
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, RHOSP, CEE, and cloud orchestrators (ATLAS, ECM, SDI, etc.)
• Proven ability to onboard and integrate Packet Core CNF in cloud environments
• Willingness to travel as required by business needs
