Packaging Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment including sealers, box formers, label dispensers, and blister pack machines
• Assemble packaging materials such as corrugated boxes, plastic containers, tubes, and drums
• Accurately label packaging with contents, quantities, shipping codes, and expiration dates
• Perform quality inspections of empty materials and final sealed packages to ensure shipment readiness
• Secure palletized loads using shrink wrap or protective strapping
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Document packaging tasks, inventory management, and production logs accurately
• Use hand tools like box cutters and heat guns for specialized sealing and closing tasks

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in operating packaging machinery and equipment
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
• Strong attention to detail for inspecting and labeling products
• Proficiency with hand tools and ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment with varying temperatures and noise levels

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a packaging or manufacturing environment
