Packaging Scientist Sr

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional teams to launch new products in retail and foodservice segments
• Identify and propose solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency on packaging lines
• Provide technical support to Operations and Engineering for continuous improvement efforts
• Act as the technical lead for designing and implementing packaging cost-saving projects
• Lead the development of packaging components aligned with company sustainability strategies
• Support the technical development and approval of packaging specifications
• Serve as a technical troubleshooter for complex packaging issues at manufacturing facilities
• Coordinate and execute packaging experiments and plant trials, documenting all results
• Mitigate technical risks associated with new packaging development
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and technical developments for company implementation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of professional experience in the food or CPG packaging industry
• Deep understanding of packaging materials, capabilities, and equipment
• Strong knowledge of packaging test methodologies
• Proven knowledge of product development and commercialization processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively and build cross-functional partnerships
