Packaging Raw Material Planner

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute the cost-efficient supply of raw materials to support production schedules and minimize inventory costs
• Manage procurement, inventory, and supply of raw materials required for finished product production
• Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability and delivery
• Liaise with suppliers to resolve supply issues, schedule changes, and cancellations
• Monitor inventory levels, track material usage, and adjust plans to prevent shortages or excess stock
• Manage and mitigate raw material supply disruptions through business continuity planning
• Generate and adjust purchase orders in collaboration with suppliers to meet quality standards
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of post-secondary experience in a professional environment
• Proficiency in extracting information from ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
• Advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis and generating insights
• Experience in supply chain network management or supplier management
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting supply chain activities for large-scale operations in Oil & Gas or FMCG industries
• Experience with demand and/or supply planning processes for inbound materials or finished products
• Knowledge of R, Python, Tableau, or Power BI for data visualization and scripting
• Experience in supply planning roles within the Petrochemical or Manufacturing sectors
