Packaging Operator

Responsibilities

• Label, package, and document pharmaceutical products per written instructions
• Package products in boxes, cartons, syringes, vials, and blisters
• Count materials and products to ensure accurate counts
• Apply labels to various components and replenish packaging materials
• Monitor and document time out of refrigeration (TOR)
• Complete batch record protocol steps and end of batch reconciliation
• Inspect, verify, and track materials using barcode scanners and manual examination
• Perform equipment set-up, tear down, and line clearance activities
• Maintain clean and clear work areas and follow safety practices
• Enter and verify information in logbooks and electronic inventory systems

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to understand, speak, read, and write English
• Visual acuity of 20/20 (with or without correction) and ability to pass a color blind test
• Ability to lift up to 38 lbs and carry up to 30 lbs
• Ability to perform frequent sitting, standing, and fine hand coordination tasks
• Ability to work Shift 3 (10:45 PM - 6:45 AM) including scheduled weekend overtime

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months of previous pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience
• Basic computer and math skills
• Knowledge of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and GMPs
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
