Packaging Operator

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate production packaging equipment, including automated case forming, packaging, and palletizing machines.
• Set up, operate, and replenish fiber gluer and taping equipment.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in detail to ensure production consistency.
• Generate pallet identification labels and verify case quantities, product IDs, and production dates.
• Set up case coding equipment and validate product codes against specifications.
• Perform routine equipment adjustments, change-overs, and clean-up operations.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Operate lift trucks safely and perform product reclaim/rework operations according to guidelines.
• Adhere to all GMP, Food Safety, and occupational health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in food manufacturing (dairy experience preferred).
• Working understanding of food manufacturing standards including SQF, QA/QC, HACCP, SOP, 5S, and GMP.
• Ability to work the night shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
• Strong math and technical skills, including the ability to operate equipment touch panels and mechanical controls.
• Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
