Packaging Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor filler and packaging equipment on the production line
• Perform equipment set-ups, end-of-line changeovers, and size changes
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties
• Monitor product weights, cartons, corrugate, and general packaging quality
• Complete all required quality documentation and scheduled checks in accordance with SOPs
• Collect required samples for Quality Assurance testing
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Ensure proper packaging materials are used and adjust date coders as needed
• Perform general cleaning of equipment and complete cleaning checklists

Requirements

• Ability to work the night shift (6 PM - 6 AM)
• Experience operating filler or similar packaging equipment
• Knowledge of labeler operations and ability to prevent downtime
• Understanding of food safety, GMP, and sanitary work standards
• Ability to follow strict regulatory standards and safety protocols (PPE, chemical handling, etc.)
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with management and other departments
