Packaging Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot automated packaging equipment including fillers, cappers, palletizers, and labelers
• Ensure quality standards are met through regular sampling and visual inspections of production
• Set up equipment for production and replenish necessary materials to meet requirements
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and maintain general housekeeping standards
• Complete all production logs and related paperwork accurately and professionally
• Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, including the use of personal protective equipment
• Report all unsafe acts, conditions, incidents, or near misses according to company procedure

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime when needed
• Ability to work in a warm to hot manufacturing environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to read, write, and follow directions

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a high-speed industrial environment
• Knowledge of industrial technology or LEDS systems
