Packaging Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate state-of-the-art fully automated toothpaste packaging lines
• Handle packaging materials including tubes, cartons, labels, and pallets
• Perform autonomous maintenance and assist technicians with preventive maintenance
• Conduct frequent quality checks and accurately document results
• Manage material transactions within the SAP enterprise resource system
• Maintain cleanliness of the production area and equipment
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and waste reduction
• Comply with all safety, quality, and good manufacturing practices (GMP)

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to perform data entry and manage email/files

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Experience as a packaging operator or with machinery maintenance/changeovers
• Ability to routinely lift up to 55 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
• Experience operating industrial power lifts such as pallet jacks or forklifts
• Proficiency in basic math calculations (percentages, fractions, and decimals)
• Familiarity with different measurement schemes (e.g., Kilograms vs. pounds)
