About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate state-of-the-art, fully automated toothpaste packaging lines at high speeds
- Handle packaging materials including tubes, cartons, labels, and pallets
- Perform autonomous maintenance and assist technicians with preventive maintenance
- Conduct frequent quality checks and accurately document results in computerized systems
- Perform data entry and transactions in SAP to manage materials from receipt to final product
- Maintain cleanliness of the production area and equipment
- Identify and action process improvements to reduce waste and cost
- Comply with all safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend
- Basic computer skills, including data entry, email, and file access
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience as a packaging operator or with machinery maintenance and changeovers
- Ability to routinely lift up to 55 pounds and stand, bend, or walk for extended periods
- Experience operating industrial power lifts such as pallet jacks and forklifts
- Strong mathematical skills involving percentages, fractions, and decimals
- Familiarity with different measurement schemes (e.g., Kilograms vs. pounds)
