Packaging Operations Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Manage daily packaging operations, including resource coordination and priority setting to meet production schedules.
• Lead and develop a team of packaging technicians and shift leads through coaching, appraisals, and performance management.
• Ensure all packaging activities, master batch records, and SOPs are compliant with cGMP standards.
• Drive operational excellence by implementing Right First Time (Six Sigma) and lean manufacturing practices.
• Partner with Validation, Engineering, Quality, and Warehouse teams to support process validation and equipment maintenance.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as schedule adherence, changeover performance, and unplanned downtime.
• Support troubleshooting efforts and participate in deviation investigations and MES exception closures.

Requirements

• Proven experience in people management, including coaching and staff development.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) within a regulated environment.
• Experience with process validation and supporting validation protocols/plans.
• Proficiency in using operational excellence tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to manage administrative tasks such as training records and deviation investigations.
