Packaging Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging line equipment including tablet/capsule fillers, cappers, labelers, and case formers
• Execute packaging operations in strict accordance with approved SOPs and documentation
• Perform equipment cleaning, change parts, and line clearance activities
• Respond promptly to equipment alarms, faults, and error messages to minimize downtime
• Complete required documentation, including batch records, room logbooks, and equipment logs
• Stage and transfer packaging materials and bulk products as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with EHS and PPE standards
• Verify packaging components and bulk products against batch records and protocols
• Operate palletizers and pallet jacks safely to move finished goods

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in an FDA-regulated packaging environment
• Proficiency in navigating HMI screens for various packaging equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
• Ability to stand for approximately 6 hours per shift
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform basic math functions
