Packaging Governance Manager

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of packaging and product specifications from creation to archival
• Maintain accurate and consistent specifications across systems and teams
• Build data structures linking specifications to drawings, test reports, and validations
• Maintain classification and standards for PET bottles, closures, corrugates, and pallet patterns
• Lead specification governance councils, including change control and deviations
• Manage packaging specification processes across PLM and SAP platforms
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Supply Chain
• Ensure specifications meet regulatory, food contact, and sustainability requirements
• Identify process inefficiencies and lead workflow improvements to enhance data quality

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Packaging, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Product Development or Spec Governance
• 3-5 years of experience in Project Management
• Experience with Smartsheet, Microsoft PM, or other project management systems

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
