Packaging Equipment Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct machine start-up, operation, and shutdown for assigned equipment areas
• Perform initial troubleshooting of equipment and production issues, making adjustments as needed
• Engage in quality assurance activities including sensory evaluation, sampling, and testing
• Load and unload materials and finished products, including operating forklifts
• Adhere to Standard Operating Guidelines (SOGs) and checklists to ensure a clean and safe work environment
• Train new personnel and team members as required

Requirements

• Previous experience with high-speed production equipment
• Solid mechanical skills and basic computer proficiency
• Ability to read and interpret reports, instructions, and procedures
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs overhead and push/pull weights up to 76 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, and crawl frequently throughout a shift
