Packaged Equipment Engineer

Responsibilities

• Interpret P&IDs, drawings, and technical documentation to define system requirements
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations for mechanical equipment sizing and performance
• Develop inquiry and purchase specifications for mechanical systems and components
• Review vendor designs for compliance with codes, standards, and contracts
• Specify testing requirements and analyze vendor test results
• Manage schedules for engineering deliverables to meet project milestones
• Provide technical recommendations for vendor selection and qualification
• Lead development of standard drawings, specifications, and design improvements
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization

Requirements

• Experience in mechanical systems engineering
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and technical drawings
• Proficiency in engineering calculations and technical documentation
• Experience with vendor management and technical evaluation
• Ability to travel 5%–20%
• Must be able to work onsite in Lake Mary, FL
